1 CommentPublished March 4, 2010 | You may remember seeing some “inchies” on here before – the little pieces of 1″x1″ art? Well, the cousin to “inchies” are “twinchies”. I bet you can guess what they are – yes, 2″x2″ pieces of art!
Indeed being double the size of inchies, twinches can accommodate a bit more “stuff”. These are rather simple, but I think would be very cute on a card with a little bit more embellishment by means of ribbon, more patterned paper or bling.
So, I view these as a great starting point!
There are 2 themes here. The green is a March/Clover/St. Patrick’s Day theme. The bunnies are Easter/Spring themed. All have either heat embossing or flocking on them for at least a bit of texture. They’re fun! Oh, you trade them like Artist Trading Cards. I made 3 of each one, so I’ll be receiving 9 back in each theme. Looking forward to it!

Wow, what a yummy cake! So good that I made it twice in the same week! It’s a keeper recipe for sure!

Published February 2, 2010 | There’s a group of us that meet at the LSS to exchange Artist Trading Cards (ATCs), usually every other month. We met this past weekend and what great themes we had! We exchanged for November, December and January due to the holidays.
November was an Autumn theme. I just had to use some mini Morsels stamps that I’ve had for quite some time. There is probably 35 or so mini stamps that are all in the Autumn theme in the set. They are similar to the Rubber Stamp Tapestry sets, but these were from Sugarloaf Stamps which became Inque Boutique which was bought by Darice. Unfortunately they’ve decided to not continue the brand. At least I have the stamps!

The January theme was “Games or Toys”. I chose the games theme since I had some stamps to fit the bill (imagine that!). It seemed that I was sticking with the orange tones as above. Something about the game Bingo makes me think of orange. Don’t know why…

Published January 17, 2010 | Inchies are the smallest pieces of art that I’ve ever done! A simple 1″ square is what it takes to make and “Inchie”. I’ve been swapping with the group at Rubber Stamp Chat again, this time the theme being Valentine’s Day. Instantly any shade of red comes to mind and hearts right? Well, I followed those thoughts and used my favorite embossing powder (P K Glitz) on one set. Then I tried out some Sticky Back Canvas by Ranger (Claudine Hellmuth) on the 2nd set of Inchies. Pretty simple, but I LIKE them! I stamped with ink onto the canvas, inked the edges then sprayed with some Gold Ritzy Ditzy Glitz. FUN!
I trimmed 1″ squares from a piece of chipboard I had in my stash (yea, it was only one piece – NOT!). The put either the stamped pattern paper or Sticky Back Canvas over the chipboard square. I then continued my design from there. I can’t wait to see the other ones in the swap and to actually use them in cards! I’ll post them here when I’m done!

What are Inchies? They are 1″ x 1″ little pieces of artwork that can be used alone on a project or together to create a larger image.
Mine are rather simple, offering the user to be as create as they want to be when using them.
The first set is totally Christmas oriented using red and green paper as the background. The second set is more seasonal using tones of blue.

Published October 3, 2009 | I have to smile whenever I say that word! I loved this Stampin’ Up! set ever since it came out a couple years ago. I’m thrilled that I had the peace (piece?) of mind to buy it before it got retired! Can’t wait to send it to my swap partner on the FLStampers yahoo group!

Published September 20, 2009 | Yes, Saturday was a fun time at Cherry Blossom Studio! Not only did I get to crop, but to have fun with friends made it a better day. I got everything done that I brought with me to work on! Pretty exciting I must say. According to the girls though, I do that every time I crop.
Hmmmmm, not exactly what I remember since I end up going home with plenty of UFO’s (un-finished objects) to be completed at yet, some later date. Could those be what is crowding the box underneath my punch stash???? Why YES it is – let’s set a crop date to complete those UFO’s. Who’s with me?????
I did succeed in making a card with my leftover Panama Jack stash (see previous post). I did not take a picture, so go to Cherry Blossom Studio to see it in person.
I got 2 other cards done with some scraps and stamping. Used some SU stamps that I’ve had for some time and LOVE the design. I think the set is called “Provencale” – great collaged images including a cool rooster. I colored him with Copics (LOVE THEM) and used my fav Spellbinders dies. It’s a rather simple card, but fun to make.
