Shimelle

Part of the lessons with Shimelle’s class is using Photoshop to alter the pictures. I have PSE 7 but have rarely used it. I WANT to use it more for photo manipulation as I’ve done here, not necessarily for digital scrapping. I love my supplies too much to give them up and go 100% digital. :)

So the gorgeous lily photo is courtesy of my Aunt. She actually has this beauty growing in her garden! I added a bokeh texture to the photo giving it that sparkly type of effect.

The page actually has a lot of stamping on it, Ippity stamping to be exact! I used some of the newest kits that I’ve gotten which matched my subject matter. A white gel pen came in handy for accenting.

Here’s another page using the techniques from Shimelle and her class, Love Your Pictures, Love Your Pages. The picture taking ideas are just fabulous! Thanks Shimelle!

I’ve been using my cheap-o sewing machine a lot lately. It’s rather easy now to take out and stitch something together or add texture. I used it to attach the transparency over the picture below.

Here’s another one using the techniques from Shimelle and her class, Love Your Pictures, Love Your Pages. It’s not too late to join!

I’m having a blast using up my supplies and scrapping for myself! I’ve frequently been on teams where I need to use a certain product, sketch or technique. I’m pretty lean with that commitment right now, so I’m really enjoying the change. It’s funny how you don’t realize it until a time like this.

I actually used this layout in the Friends with Flair Hop this past Friday. I used both Ippity & Unity Stamps! A bunch of the supplies are ones that I’ve had for awhile too, so I was proud of myself to boot. :)

Here’s one of the first assignments from last week. My recent favorites: Ippity Stamps (of course), P K Glitz embossing powder and ribbon, any kind!

I’m working on the next page…

Have you ever taken an online class before?

I did over Christmas time, loved it but unfortunately didn’t finish it. It’s ok, I can sometime if I want or I can take those pages and put them to good use somewhere else!

I’ve signed up for another one from the same teacher, Shimelle. She’s so helpful and very good on the class material side. I heard about her from Jennifer McGuire of Hero Arts stamps late last year and have been following ever since.

The new class started today, Love Your Pictures, Love Your Pages. Check it out! Thanks Shimelle!
