My Mind’s Eye

I’ve been playing with some of the new Ippity Stamps sets – what fun!! They range in variety and style, just the way I like it. 🙂

Thanks for looking today!

I’ve been busy with the Ippity and Unity stamps these days. Cards, scrapbook pages, altered stuff, you name it! It’s all FUN because I’m stamping!

Ippity and Unity make it easy to stamp. Just place the red rubber stamp onto an acrylic block, ink it up and away you go! You’re a stamper now! It’s fun to watch people stamp for the first time. They’re so tentative and gentile. Rubber is so rugged that it’s doubtful they could hurt a red rubber stamp! With the exception of chemicals or sharp objects, rubber stamps are very good about holding their own!

A little early – a love note for my honey!

Ok, I also met a challenge on the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog using The Stamps of Life stamps! Why not hit 2 birds with one stone?? 🙂

The challenge was to create a Valentine themed card. Not too hard, especially when you have some great stamps to work with! Thanks Stephanie at TSOL!

I’ve been keeping up with the Monday H{ippity} Hops on my sister site, Andrea’s Stamps, which has been a lot of fun! It’s a great way to try the different sets and make Monday a fun day instead of a yucky back to work day!

All things Ippity happen that day! Below are some of my recent projects using solely Ippity Stamps. There are currently 8 sets available, but in a short 2 weeks, more sets will be revealed! I can’t whisper a peep about them, but they are GORGEOUS! Save some bucks from your tax return to try some Ippity! I’ll be starting all sorts of fun programs over there, so I’ll tune you in here to keep you in the loop.

Thanks for stopping by today! It’s almost the weekend, woohoo!!

I have actually done a couple scrapbook pages lately! Unbelieveable I know, but hey, new years resolutions are a good thing sometimes. 🙂

Some of the pages I can’t share yet, but this one I can. It’s using some of the My Mind’s Eye stash that I have (as bad as my BasicGrey stash) and some of my Ippity stamps.

So, I’ve been having a little fun with the Unity Bachelor challenge over at SCS. Last week’s challenge was to create a Date Card. My version is below using “the bachelor’s” fav colors of red, green and black. I had fun stamping on the wood veneer and acetate!

Yes, I admit it, I have an “IN” for feeling, seeing and using some of the new product coming at CHA. You can actually visit the My Mind’s Eye site to see the upcoming CHA releases, so it’s not a total surprise. The fact that I got to USE it though, makes me feel special. 🙂 Thank you T.

Let’s see, I sprayed the snowflake background paper with a mixture of Dried Marigold/Blush Perfect Pearls/Water from a Mini Mister (see the recipe page for more) and layered a bunch of patterned paper! The title letters were cut from fun foam using a couple different Sizzix alphas, then covered with Glossy Accents and P K Glitz Crystal Glitter. Thanks for looking!

My Mind's Eye, Colorful Christmas

Working with MME on a recent ScrapFriends review, I fell in love with the Wild Asparagus line. I honestly hadn’t purchased any of the original Wild Asparagus release a couple years ago, so working with this collection was the first time for me. I have enjoyed other MME’s releases – Tres Jolie in particular, and Wild Asparagus didn’t disappoint. The paper is wonderful, heavy and double-sided. I have found that I prefer working with double-sided paper mostly for the completeness of it – matching in every way.

The embellishments come with a shimmer finish on the paper, something new for MME. I was mildly concerned that it would be difficult to journal on, but no worries after the first stroke. No smudging, no lightening of the ink or even skipping. It was NICE! Do remember to use the pre-cut embellishments in creative ways. Don’t be limited with just what they give you, experiment!

Merry Christmas
