hot foil pen
I recently reviewed this product at ScrapFriends and had some fun with it! It’s basically a hot-tipped pen that glides along a foil sheet depositing the foil onto the object underneath, usually paper. The product does have merits and you can get better with practice. It’s a great tool to add foil accents to any patterned paper, which is very popular right now. Here are a couple projects using the foil pen. The first uses the foil as an outline image over both the patterned paper and cardstock mat. I used a Heidi Swapp mask as the template. It was mostly successful, but I learned a lot when working with the foil and the pen.
For this page, I used a Fiskars template to trace the stars above and below the pic on the left. I like the result here better than the one above. 🙂 Just personal preference I guess!
