To continue practicing the awesome tips brought in the Online Card Class, Sparkle and Shine, today is shimmer day! I mixed Jennifer and Debby’s tips into one – using an adhesive as the backer to a Tim Holtz stencil to hold Perfect Pearls. I love the effect and can see mass producing cards this way! I finished it off with some ribbon and a saying.
Stencil: Tim Holtz
Perfect Pearls (shimmer): Ranger
Stamp & Die: The Cat’s Pajamas
I’m taking the cool class “Heat Wave” from Online Card Classes. I love heat embossing so this is a great way to relax and have some fun with the card supplies that I have. The stamps are from SimonSaysStamp using Jenn’s idea for embossed acetate on a shaker card. I must admit that it took me a couple tries to get it together, but the result turned out well. I’ll be giving this to a friend for her birthday coming up next month!
Splitcoaststampers had a VSN mini “Frozen” theme before Thanksgiving. It was only a 2 card challenge, so I was able to sneak that in pretty easily. I taught one of the cards for Margaret at Sparkle n’Sprinkle during a couple of the last Scrapbook Expo shows so it was a straight forward card. The other one was using Stampin’ Up! stamps that I’ve had in my stash but never used. That set is gorgeous!!
I’ve gotten The Stamps of Life monthly stamp kit ever since it started 5 years ago! I added the Die Hard club when coordinating dies were introduced and now the Card Kit club. Just love all of it!
