foil

Foil is one of those rather picky mediums, but you go through the work because the result is so spectacular! Creative Imaginations has made it pretty dang easy with their Foil Kits as reviewed at ScrapFriends recently. The foil itself comes in themed color kits with 2 sheets each per color – nice! Also included is a tube of foil glue. This is interesting stuff and I want to use it more to test it’s limits for sure. It is a milky liquid glue that dries clear and sticky.

Another product that CI has to go great with the foil are the patterned adhesive embellishments. These are like rub-ons with sticky on both sides. Sooooo, on the top sticky side goes foil, glitter, flocking or pigment powder – take your pick! What is very cool is that the adhesive matches some of CI’s most popular lines in the Narratives collection. Way cool and beautiful to boot.

Here are some projects using the foil kits. The layout uses the patterned adhesive and glitter from PK Glitz.

This next sample is actually a Tinkering Ink Acrylic Tag with the patterned adhesive transfers plus the foil. Very neat because you can see the back from the other side of the tag.

Those of you who know me well, know that I love ocean and beach themed paper to the max! I can never get enough of it. I guess it comes from living near the ocean. I do like Flair’s papers as a rule, but their beach and water collections are my favorites. The colors, the patterns and design all comes together very well. Maybe it’s the subject material! I had the pleasure of reviewing this new collection at ScrapFriends and I’d like to share some of my projects with you.

Lots of stamping with this layout. The stitches are stamped among other things on the page. The majority of the stamps are from Starving Artistamps, including the shells debossed on the circular elements. LOVE that technique!

This little guy is also from Starving Artistamps and is stamped with glue then covered in foil! You should see him shine!

Here’s another shell, but this is a patterned adhesive transfer that Creative Imaginations sells. Check out the review on ScrapFriends for the foil and transfers.
