Ok, I know that’s pretty dang weird, but surprisingly it was the theme for a card swap on Rubber Stamp Chat in February! It was harmless fun and got me to use a dog stamp that I had in my stash for years. It was an opportunity to use this week’s sketch from Card Positioning Systems too!

Supplies:
Prism cardstock
Around the Block patterned paper
Cat’s Pajamas rubber stamps
Ranger embossing ink
P K Glitz embossing powder
CPS sketch #156

I’ve been playing with some new stamps from Unity and Ippity, giving them a “Spring” feel to the cards that I’m using them on. The first is a real Easter/Spring-y type of card using the colors of the season. The bunny and egg-shaped die cut is also a giveaway! The 2nd card is a “Spring is coming soon” type of card. The weather has been quite cool recently in South FL, but much more so in the rest of the US. Don’t despair, Spring IS coming!

I just had to ink up this recent DoodleFactory set “Arctic” from Starving Artistamps for a couple reasons.

1. It’s been flippin’ cold out and even though it hasn’t snowed, it sure has been colder for a longer period of time since I moved here.

2. The Winter Olympics are on in Vancouver!

3. I wanted to join a card swap on FL Stampers where the theme was “winter scene”. Do you think this qualifies??

I’m not quite sure how to describe this flower image, but I know that I like it!

It’s from the January Unity Stamps Kit of the Month and the saying is from Ippity stamps, Just Wanted to Say set. Gotta love that Sugar Rush Collection from BasicGrey for the patterned paper and color!

I’ve had this stamp from Starving Artistamps for maybe a year now and I just LOVE coloring it with Copic markers! The image is a great size – perfect for the face of a card. I needed a card for a 1:1 swap on Florida Stampers, so this is it!

I stamped the image with Memento Black ink then proceeded to color with R85, Rose Red. The center was done using YG00, Mimosa Yellow and the outline was W3 Warm Gray. The stamens were detailed with Brown Flower Soft. The yellow was then finished off with a glue pen and Crystal glitter from P K Glitz.
