Copic

Hello blog hoppers!

Welcome to the Back to School Blog Hop! It officially starts at Michelle Perkett Studios Challenge Blog but if this is your first stop, just hop along the list of blogs until you end up back here!

What are you searching for you ask? There are 9 letters out there that will spell a secret word! There is 1 blog that has a letter that you will use twice. Don’t worry, she’ll let you know that you’ll need to do that when you get there!

We have a hint for you: it’s a School Subject!

As soon you collect the letters and unscramble them so that you know the word, go to one of the Communities: Paper Craft Planet, Crafter’s Digital Art Center, SNR-The Card Universe and send Michelle a personal message with the word in it. Don’t forget to include your email address in your email to Michelle! She needs to know how to contact you if you win!

If you’re not a member of one of those Communities, you can join any one of them for free. If you get a message saying you can’t email Michelle until you’re friends with her, just ask to be friends and she’ll respond as soon as she can. You’ll be able to then send her a message. You only need to send her a message from ONE of the Communities mentioned above.

The challenge starts today, August 24th and ends Monday, August 30th, 2010 at 5:00 PM MST.

Want to know the great news? There will be 2 (TWO) winners!! They will be announced on Tuesday, August 31st on the Challenge Blog!

Here is a card to give you a hint on what the letter is that I have for you:

Good Luck!

One of the fun things about going to Canada is the opportunity to shop at some different scrapbook and stamp stores! There are different items that catch your eye and of course, some great finds.

I was recently introduced to My Stamp Box through the Preferred Partner program at P K Glitz. They are a clear stamp company with neat designs and great storage. Each set comes in a cd case with a sticker of the designs included – everything all in one, done!

A recent find in a Canadian store was this stamp mfg because they are Canadian! I haven’t seen them in any of the stores by me yet, so it was indeed a happy day when I saw the stamps. I had been wanting “A Tree for all Seasons” since I saw some samples on their blog. Stampin’ Up! had a similar set that I never got for one reason or another before it was retired. Win-win!

Yes, I owe you some Ippity projects don’t I? You can always visit my Ippity blog, but I don’t blame you if you want to keep your blog reading to a minimum. I do usually always post something on that blog every Monday and Friday with a repost here on Andrea’s Scraps.

Thanks for coming by to see my Ippity with some Unity mixed in!

This Robot stamp set is really growing on me! It is super cute and I happened to get some robot paper that inspired me to create my own background paper using the various robot stamps. Adding a little glitter to his big heart was a nice touch. :)

On our Mini Mister/Tool/Marker Stands!

Plain Metal Stand

What is THAT you ask? It’s a cool metal stand, lightweight and sturdy, with 15 holes for holding items from your craft table. Especially made to hold Ranger’s Mini Misters and TENseconds Studios metal tools, the stand is paintable and comes with 4 self-adhesive rubber bumper feet! Guess what? It even holds Ciao and Sketch Copic Markers (or practically any marker for that matter) and most Tim Holtz Tools!

The cost is $8.00 per stand (no misters or tools included) plus $5.00 flat rate shipping. (FYI, the name “Philip E. Davis” will show up in Paypal.)

To jazz it up a bit, you can even use alcohol inks like shown on the samples below or paint!

I just got this new sheet of stamps from Heather at Faerie Song Art Stamps. It’s called Mouser-kins! Aren’t they cute?? I’m part way through the sheet trying out each image, so here’s what I have so far.

All the cards use Prism Paper, Spellbinders dies, Copic markers, Ranger inks and P K Glitz Glitter. I’ve also used the CPS144 sketch and some Mojo Monday sketches as a starting point for the card designs.

Yes, the holidays are coming! Starving Artistamps has released a wonderful Nativity image and sentiment set. I’ll be sharing some creations with you  from those sets.

The images are really great! Lots of options for coloring or leaving as is. Lots of options for grouping the images together to make a scene or using independently. Lots of options to include the sayings with the images or just alone. All in all, this is one of the most versatile holiday Nativity sets I’ve ever used!!

Take a look at the first creation. The words are all on 1 stamp. There are actually 3 images in the manger scene, cool eh?

Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s) are simple and totally fun pieces of art. You can start from a 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of paper or a stamp a whole sheet then cut it to size, it’s really up to you. At first you may think that it’s really hard to work on that size, but once you get into it, it’s really addicting! You’ll find all sorts of stamped images that fit really well onto this size as you can see below.

Faerie Song Art Stamps is a great source for fantasy images! Check out my little Copic colored faeries! Patterned paper is DCWV.
