clay

We recently reviewed Lisa Pavelka’s Craft Foil and Embossing Clay Cutters at ScrapFriends. I had a bunch of fun using both products and can’t wait to use them more! The layout uses Kato Clay with the embossing cutters which worked seamlessly. The cutters come in 3 sizes and have the option to cut without embossing or cut with embossing. I would like to get the other shapes that are offered, like the ivy leaf and flower. Imagine the cool 3d shapes for your pages and altered projects!? Fun, right?

The Craft Foil is super fun stuff too. Not only does it transfer to clay, but works wonderfully for faux dichroic art too. Gotta love the sea glass heated in the melting pot! Tim Holtz does a wonderful bit about this on one of his dvds. Basically it’s sea glas in the melting pot, add clear UTEE, remove and place upside down on the foil and press the foil into the hot UTEE. Since this foil transfers due to heat, a wonderful metallic film becomes the surface to the glass. The glass is transferred back into the pot, foil up. Add clear UTEE and some other colored ep if desired. As the ep heats, the foil will wrinkle and shift, so watch the heat and remove when it looks good. Here are 2 pins that I made:
