chipboard

Continuing with another project that I completed for the Cosmo Cricket’s Fleuriste review at ScrapFriends, this layout uses a neat trick that I learned from Tim Holtz‘ blog and weekend classes – custom blended glimmer mists! Cosmo has this great chipboard product that is not only die cut to match die cut patterned paper from their kits, but also is solid black in color! Gone are the grey doldrums! The surface is super smooth and the cuts are crisp and clean. I mixed a blend of Tea Dye Distress Reinker with Perfect Gold Perfect Pearls and water in a mini mister to get the goldtone shimmer on the chipboard pieces. I love the blend of color with the patterned paper. Oh, a new product coming soon for the mini mister chemists out there…stay tuned.
