It’s almost 1/2 way through the year and here’s my first Christmas card! Usually I try to make a couple holiday cards every month, but I haven’t been able to do that this year. I’ll just have to do a marathon session in July or whenever I can get some time to crank out some cards. I love making holiday cards, so it shouldn’t be difficult!
Don’t forget this week’s challenge at Michelle Perkett’s Challenge blog – Flowers Galore!

I love getting the stamps from The Stamps of Life every month! It’s a monthly club where a new set of clear stamps arrive in my mailbox during that first week. The sets are themed so that all the stamps coordinate together and many times, work with other sets! It’s really cool and maximizes the ability to put almost any project together quickly.

Some Odd Girl digi stamps had a fun challenge this week –> put something pleated on a project.
When I taught some of the BasicGrey card classes, some of the cards had some interesting paper pleats on them. Doing the pleats was not a favorite in the class as some of my students would heartily agree, but the effect was pretty cool.
I created one of those pleat designs for the challenge this week, hope you like it! Click either design to see a larger view.

To support this week’s challenge, I made a card base using a teacup template with the fold at the bottom. I put little accordion folded scraps on the right and left inside so that the tea bag wouldn’t fall out and to hold the front and back together. It still fits in an A2 sized envelope!

Juniper and Cecilia digital stamp from Michelle Perkett Studio

There’s a new challenge going on at the P K Glitz Blog called “Shake, Rattle and Roll”!
Create a project of some kind using P K Glitz products with a shaker box too! It can be a card, scrapbook page or altered item-you choose!
Here’s one to encourage you to play along. It’s a card using a rubber stamped background, foam tape as the shaker foundation and a piece of plastic as the window. I did a little extra rubber stamping of the smaller seahorse in blue on the backside of the plastic! Isn’t he pretty?
What are you waiting for? Take out those little beads, glitter and whatnot to put inside of YOUR shaker!
