Sorry for the brief hiatus! I am back now for the time being. You’ll see a lot of movement on the blog again – posting, challenges, blog hops and projects!

I made the Michelle Perkett Studio Design Team! I was first introduced to her wonderful art from Heather at Faerie Song Art Stamps. She made some of Michelle’s wonderful faeries into rubber stamps. Well, I found Michelle on some of the Digi Stamp sites and found a whole pile of other images that are absolutely beautiful. She just happened to be having a DT call, so I tried and got on! Woohoo!!

Every week, I’ll be posting 2 projects using Michelle’s rubber and digi stamps. There’s a weekly challenge that you may want to get in on to win some images too! I totally love beach themed stamps! The Stamps of Life set this month, Summer4Fun, is full of beachy things. Love the flip flops and bunches of beach balls. The flip flops are separate stamps and the straps are even on their own! Talk about the ultimate in flexibility! The font used for the sentiments in this set is nice and casual to suit the theme of the set.

The beach ball is completely sparkled with P K Glitz glitter. I adhered a piece of WonderFilm onto cardstock then cut out a large circle. A craft knife came in handy to make the different colored sections of the beach ball. One section was peeled off at a time so that the different colored glitters could be added without contamination. A couple short pieces of Sticky Tape worked well for the surfboard stripes and Quickie Glue Pen for the straps on the flip flops.
