I really loved the Nook & Pantry line when BasicGrey introduced it. It has a lot of nostalgic feel to it and of course, classic kitchen icons. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the clear stamp sets that came from that collection. It has a great teapot and cup in it shown in the card below. Isn’t that just perfect classic kitchen?? I used some of the beautiful Chocolate colored embossing powder from P K Glitz on the images and strip across the top of the card.
Supplies:
BasicGrey Nook & Pantry patterned paper, brads and stamps
P K Glitz Ritzy Ditzy Glitz, Sticky Tape, embossing powder and sketch
Ranger embossing ink
My ATC (Artist Trading Card) Club just met over the weekend. It was a great time! I did unfortunately wait until the last minute to make my ATC’s. The usual suspects for delaying – work, fighting a sinus infection, other commitments, yada yada yada. Oh, Stampfest was in there too.
ATC’s are 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ pieces of art. Try them sometime, they’re addicting!!
BUT, I did successfully complete them! I like one of them a lot and the other, so-s0. Oh well, that’s how it goes right?
We decided on the rest of our themes for the year – love that! Now I can do them as I have time or supplies. We meet in April next, so I’ll have a couple months to work on 2 batches. Should be able to do that!
Anyway, here are the gems! February’s theme was “Famous Couples” and March was “Recycle”.

BasicGrey patterned paper

Ranger Distress inks

There’s this cool challenge going on Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine called Project 12. It breaks down the memory collecting into a 2-page spread of the month’s events. I like the concept and am working with it – so good so far!
Becky Fleck is doing the sketches for each month and you can either use that sketch each month or use 1 sketch over and over or even use no sketch. I enjoy working with Becky Fleck’s sketches, so I figured “why not”?
There will most definitely be scrapbook pages devoted to a specific something that went on during the month. Project 12 is just to serve as a snapshot of “here’s what happened this month”. My goal is to use BasicGrey for each Project 12 spread and to use Becky’s sketches.
So, without further ado, here’s January 2010:
Supplies:
BasicGrey patterned paper, Elements and Alphabet stickers
Becky Fleck sketch
Stampin’ Up! border punch
Michael’s ribbon
Inque Boutique stamps
Tsukineko ink
P K Glitz glitter
I’ve been keeping up with the Monday H{ippity} Hops on my sister site, Andrea’s Stamps, which has been a lot of fun! It’s a great way to try the different sets and make Monday a fun day instead of a yucky back to work day!
All things Ippity happen that day! Below are some of my recent projects using solely Ippity Stamps. There are currently 8 sets available, but in a short 2 weeks, more sets will be revealed! I can’t whisper a peep about them, but they are GORGEOUS! Save some bucks from your tax return to try some Ippity! I’ll be starting all sorts of fun programs over there, so I’ll tune you in here to keep you in the loop.
Thanks for stopping by today! It’s almost the weekend, woohoo!!
One of my goals for the year is to stockpile cards to use throughout the whole year. Soooooo, I’ve been using different sketches here and there to use to create these cards. Oh, I’m trying to also use some scraps and other tools that I may have not used yet. This card uses both scraps from a BasicGrey Indian Summer collection card class and some Spellbinders dies that I hadn’t used yet. I was also able to use some stitch stamps that I hadn’t used in awhile, remember those??
For this card, I die cut the bird out of P K Glitz‘ Sticky Paper and glittered it with different colors. I like the soft feel to the card and can’t wait to use it!
Supplies:
BasicGrey Indian Summer Collection patterned paper
P K Glitz Sticky Paper, Glitter Glitz and sketch
Ippity sentiment stamp and Starving Artistamps stitch stamps
Tsukineko ink
Michaels ribbon
