Claudine Hellmuth’s Beeswax Collage DVD review was just published at ScrapFriends and I was lucky enough to be on the review. I met Claudine for the first time at CHA in February this year and just knew we needed to review one of her DVD’s. Pure fun is all I have to say about Claudine and her teaching style – LOVE it! She has this knack of taking an intimidating medium like beeswax and explains it in simple terms without making you feel like an idiot! I am adding beeswax to my favorites for mediums to work with in papercrafting thanks to Claudine!

Here is a birthday card that I made using the techniques from the DVD. It’s a “Poppet” card, using a copy of my head on a made up body. The tropical fabric is a bit “me”, but the style of attire is really not – I’m a t-shirts, jeans and sneakers kinda gal. The ENTIRE thing is held together by Ranger’s beeswax, using the natural color kind, with no additional adhesive required. What I like is that it doesn’t have a strong odor like some beeswax does. It’s really quite fun to look at in person, but here’s a pic for you anyway. :)
