Scraps of thoughts, photos and art

Not only did the Copic class finish up but the Hope You Can Cling To card drive on Splitcoaststampers hit in October. I support this event every year and throughout the year by sending cards to the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas. It’s a fabulous opportunity to make cards and send extras to the Center.

I was able to finish all the challenges this year! What that means is meet the 31 daily challenges plus an extra 2 at the beginning and end. I made an individual card for each one! What an accomplishment for me 🙂

So here’s my splash of cards for the challenges which I’ll group into the stamp companies that I used (or images from the Copic class samples).

This has been a nice refresher and chance to use my Copics more. I often think that it’s too much to bring them out, but not every colored image needs to use 10 different colors or be detailed perfection! It’s good to be quick and easy as well!

Day 11: hiding mistakes – I added shading around the image and little dots to hide the coloring outside the lines

Day 12: Copic hacks – doing other things to Copic colored images or using Copics in a different manner. Here, I covered the balloons with clear sparkly embossing powder after coloring and the butterfly has brushable glue and glitter added.

I haven’t done much crafting lately as evidence of the few postings on this blog! I have done some crafty things but not put them on the blog. Anyway, I need to post some class exercises for the Copic class on Online Card Classes:
