Scraps of thoughts, photos and art

Monthly Archives: December 2010

When I just typed that, I thought of that movie “Princess Bride”! My Mom LOVED that movie and could watch it every day and laugh no matter what.

It is challenge time again at the Michelle Perkett Studio Challenge Blog. A new challenge starts on a Tuesday and ends on the following Monday.

This week’s challenge is to create a New Year’s themed project using one of Michelle’s images.

I’ve used the Fairy Bride in my card to give you some inspiration for the challenge. I colored her with Watercolor Crayons. I cut 2 slits on either side of her waist sash and put tulle through each one, hanging out the back where you can’t see it. I added a couple extra punched flowers and vines for a wrist corsage.

I do LOVE the holidays! My Mom was a huge fan of Christmas – just EVERYTHING about it! She would decorate and make it so special for everyone around her that you couldn’t help but put your troubles aside. My love of the holidays is inspired by her, a true believer that life is so precious and should not be wasted. Be happy, have joy and celebrate!

If you started here at my blog, just keep hopping along until you’ve reached every blog.

Michelle’s personal blog (the 1st in the list below) has a question on it. You’ll need to collect letters from 6 blogs to unscramble for the answer. My letter is “O. The first correct answer that contacts Michelle will win Missy the Mistletoe Pixie!

You can contact her through the etsy store or through PCP, CDAC or SNR.
