A super woman that I’ve known for a number of years now, had a stroke Friday evening. Read about it here:
Marco’s Paper Blog
and please send a card to help speed up her recovery.
Love you guys and I know you’ll help a friend of a friend in need.
of a recent project that will come up soon…
Here’s another project that I finished from Donna‘s weekend! This one was super fun also-using corrugated cardboard as some of the pages, acrylic for others! Then lots of awesome FABRIC! SO completely in love with this project. Thanks Donna for a great time. 🙂
Thanks for looking!
Ok, I did it! I finished the fabric album that I started in Donna‘s class! How VERY exciting! Lots of fun with paint and Unity stamps-LOVE the result! I used pictures that I took during one week of my life last fall. This album is a great snapshot of my life from that time. I even look back not quite a year later and think “oh yea! I remember that!”. Thanks for looking!
I must admit, with a little Blushing, that one of my favorite paper companies is BasicGrey. Oh Baby, is it Eerie that every collection of theirs, I can Infuse easily in my scrapping. There are lines that I like more than others (Lollipop Shopped for one), but when feeling a bit Offbeat in my scrapping, I can look within the BasicGrey papers in my stash and come up with Two Scoops of something! I’ve tried to resist purchasing the lines when they’re first released, Perhaps to be sure I’ll like them in real life.
Who am I kidding?
Why Dasher myself when I know I’ll be Bittersweet when I don’t get it before it sells out at the lss or worse yet, when the lss doesn’t order it? It’s not like I’m paying for a trip to Marrakech or something! Color Me Silly indeed! Just DO IT, put it in the budget and don’t stress any longer. Submit to the pure Sublime Ambrosia and Mellow!
I thought that I would put together a list of the BasicGrey collections just so you could check off the ones you have. Ok, I really did this so that I could see which ones I’m missing! Lucky you! You benefit though from my Sultry obsession. Grab a glass of Lemonade and take a look at it, my little Sweet Pea! I bet you’ll find a Vagabond collection or two that you forgot about or never heard of. Hard to believe, but possibly true. 😉

Hey!! Need some holiday card inspiration? Welcome to the Cards for Heroes Mini Blog Hop! Check out all the blogs for great ideas and beautiful holiday card samples to get you in the mood to create cards. And if you have any extras, send them to Card for Heroes to send overseas to our Heroes.
Here’s a holiday card that I recently completed for a 1:1 card swap. This would NOT be a good card to send to Cards for Heroes. Why you say? Isn’t that mouse too cute??? Well, glitter is a no-no for our Heroes. Could I use the same stamp and color with say, watercolor pencils, crayons, markers or chalks? Yes, MOST definitely, but stay away from the glitter. It exposes our Heroes because it is so reflective and it gets everywhere!
and here are the totally AWESOME glitter glitz colors that I used from PK Glitz.
To make this card, stamp on acetate using StazOn. Get out your liquid clear adhesive (like Glossy Accents) and “color” in each section with the Glossy Accents. Go a section at a time: adhesive, glitter, dump and flick. Move on to the next section and it will go pretty fast! Make sure you reuse the glitter for another project.
After the glitter “painting” is complete, mat and adhere to the front of a card. Add extra embellishments if you would like. Enjoy!
I LOVE making cards for our Heroes!! Using scraps and embellishments and oh yea, my stamps is all so much fun!! You should try it! 😉
The holiday card cut-off is November 1. That means to get your cards mailed to one of the 3 addresses shown on the site by November 1. Get together with your friends and really pack a USPS Flat Rate box!! You can do it!
