Ah yes, one of my favorite companies, Tinkering Ink. We worked with the Retro Metro collection this month at ScrapFriends – lots of color and funky, bold patterns – just love it! Here are some items made with the paper, rub-ons, die cuts and Rip Strips:
So, you might have thought that I was holding out on you, but no, I wasn’t. 🙂 Just busy is the answer. 😉
Here is the Milk Chocolate Eclectic album from BasicGrey with the Cloud 9 Finley’s Estate Collection. Every page in this album is milk chocolate colored chipboard in a different shape. I didn’t paint or ink the edges, they are au naturale or have paper on them. Take a look into the Tim Holtz weekend we had at the store at the end of May – lots of fun!
So I went to a crop at the lss this weekend and was actually pretty happy that I got 3 layouts and a mini book done! For the first group, I worked with the We R Memory Keepers Nonsense Collection. LOVED it! Nice bright and fun colors with super patterns. Loved the double-sided papers and awesome chipboard letters which are a great price for the quantity in the box. The letters are even dusted with glitter for some extra sparkle here and there. The trim is thick and colorful to match wonderfully!
And the other collection that I worked with was Finley’s Estate from Cloud 9. Too cute for this also! Very elegant patterns with a casual twist. The majority of the papers are double-sided with mostly a solid or tiny pattern on one side making great options for matting. The embellishments are way cool and match so well too!
I have a mini album to share using this collection too, but I’ll put that up soon. 🙂
I just completed a guest blog entry at ScrapFriends using the Flair Designs Merry Little Christmas line. If you want to read it, go to my ScrapFriends blog, Andrea’s Blog, and have at it! 🙂
Here are the projects if you want to just see them:
My great niece got baptised in early August and I created this cute mini album for her. The album is MDF and cut into the shape of a wing. It’s from Kaiser – super cute! The bling also comes from Kaiser. The paper and die cut tags is from 3 Bugs in a Rug, Color Me Pink line. LOVE the green and pink together! The stamp on the back cover is from BoBunny. The letters are BasicGrey with pearlized mini mister spray. Enjoy!
Too busy to drive to a store this weekend or want to shop online? Visit the Virtual Stamp Convention at Rubber Stamp Chat this weekend through Monday. It is VERY fun to visit the vendors and do some shopping!
You need to be a member to read the forums (FREE TO JOIN) so head on over there and check it out. There are LOTS of vendors offering specials and discounts. Please check BOTH pages in the convention hall so that you don’t miss ALL the specials!
Some of the vendors participating:
- Starving Artistamps
- Purple Onion Designs
- Stamp Camp
- Lost Coast
- Queen Kat
- And about 15 more vendors!
Another exciting thing happening over on RSC is the special guest section with Mary Jo McGraw, Author and mixed media artist. You can find lots of Mary Jo’s books and DVDs in all the major craft chains as well as online. Now is your opportunity to pick the brain of a pro (in the good way, not in the gross silence of the lambs way 😉 )
Oh boy, what a week! DAY 7 is here! I forgot to take a pic of myself yesterday, so can I cheat and put in 2 today? I must admit that I didn’t feel like taking my picture because I didn’t shower! Uh-oh, my secret is out! After being a bit rudely awakened around 6:30am by MY car alarm (whole other story), the day just wasn’t the same. Oh well, happens right? It just so happens that the incident may get it’s own page in my WITL album!
Anyway, I have another card to share from the last crop that I attended. It’s an Inque Boutique stamped card made with a set of Morsels, those itty bitty stamps that are SO cool! I had fun with it for sure.
Boy, I’m not doing a great job at keeping the blog updated everyday with my progress! I am taking daily pictures and keeping notes, so I think I’ll be good when I compile it all. I think that I’ll stick with the 8 1/2×11 thought for the album size and throw in some odd shaped pages here and there most likely. I’m looking forward to bringing it all together!
Happy World Card Making Day! I plan on making some cards today to join in the fun. To hopefully inspire you, here are some cards that I created lately using Lasting Impressions with Panache stamps. I had a lot of fun with the block stamps and a variety of images to put inside!
