P K Glitz

Every month P K Glitz offers a couple great sketches to get your creative juices flowing. The lucky Club Glitz members get to see them on the 5th of the month when the new month’s Club is revealed. Everyone else sees them on the 15th when they’re posted on the P K Glitz blog.

This month’s card sketch used a long and skinny card format, one that I really like and have fun with! I had some fun with the Ginko Leaf Silhouette Stencil on Sticky Paper. I traced the stencil and cut out the Sticky Paper in the shape of the leaf then added Newsprint Glitter Glitz – what a great color combo! The saying was heat embossed using P K Glitz embossing powder. I love the way the powder shines after it’s heated!

And, you never know what you may win by just commenting on a blog post somewhere along the hop!

To say thanks for joining us in our first Blog Hop, Janelle has offered a P K Glitz Easter Basket with $50 worth of merchandise to a lucky reader who returns to the P K Glitz Blog Hop post at the end of hopping to comment on what your favorite thing was about the hop!

The deadline for entering all blog candy giveaways is midnight Central time Sunday night, April 4th. We’ll announce the winners on Talk Tuesday for all prizes!

I finally was able to make a card using some of the scraps left over from my Origins card class – the one with the 6×6 pad of mini prints from that paper line. What goodness! The P K Glitz colors really match well to the patterns and colors in this line. I used the recent Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration.

Can you tell from this card that I’ve been practicing using Copic markers? :D

I had the opportunity to learn last weekend from a fresh student of the Copic Certification Class in Sarasota who was super generous with her time (thanks Fran!). She had such great tips and really filled in some of the questions that I had from the blog and just practicing myself.

I’m addicted to Copic markers.

Sigh, there are worse things than stamps, paper and Copics right? Please shake your head, “yes Andrea”…

I just had to ink up this recent DoodleFactory set “Arctic” from Starving Artistamps for a couple reasons.

1. It’s been flippin’ cold out and even though it hasn’t snowed, it sure has been colder for a longer period of time since I moved here.

2. The Winter Olympics are on in Vancouver!

3. I wanted to join a card swap on FL Stampers where the theme was “winter scene”. Do you think this qualifies??

The challenge was to create a Valentine themed card. Not too hard, especially when you have some great stamps to work with! Thanks Stephanie at TSOL!
