Magical Mermaids

Guess what? Another great sheet of rubber from Heather at Faerie Song Art Stamps!

This time, we’re going under the sea to those mythical mermaid creatures. Gretchen Raisch-Baskin is the artist that has added her own special touch to Magical Mermaids, the 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet of red rubber stamps. I had a lot of fun using Copics markers to color in the details of the ocean and mermaids. It was a great opportunity to practice blending, which you’ll probably be able to tell here and there.

Nidlongdir is a Magic Fairy Realm beautifully illustrated by Marianne Mathiasen and now brought to you in red rubber stamps! Heather at Faerie Song Art Stamps has just introduced an 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet of rubber images drawn by Marianne.

More Mouserkins in the house!

I thought the House Mouse stamps were super cute, but these Mouserkins are absolutely adorable! I had a great chance to do some more coloring with the Copics. I’m doing more blending than ever before. In doing that, I definitely have some holes in my Copic collection. Funny how it doesn’t appear until you really start using them! I use the Warm and Cool Grays often – for shadowing and outlining. It gives the image such a great look! Well then you have the colors too – wowser! I love the light colors because they can brighten up a darker tone in two shakes. I can’t wait to get more…

Mouser-kins

I just got this new sheet of stamps from Heather at Faerie Song Art Stamps. It’s called Mouser-kins! Aren’t they cute?? I’m part way through the sheet trying out each image, so here’s what I have so far.

All the cards use Prism Paper, Spellbinders dies, Copic markers, Ranger inks and P K Glitz Glitter. I’ve also used the CPS144 sketch and some Mojo Monday sketches as a starting point for the card designs.

Fairy themed ATC’s

Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s) are simple and totally fun pieces of art. You can start from a 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of paper or a stamp a whole sheet then cut it to size, it’s really up to you. At first you may think that it’s really hard to work on that size, but once you get into it, it’s really addicting! You’ll find all sorts of stamped images that fit really well onto this size as you can see below.

Believe in Faeries!

I just think these faeries are too cute! Heather at Faerie Song Art Stamps has a great variety of pixies, faeries, dragons, wizards, mermaids and goddesses to suit any fantasy themed stamp fanatic. I created this card for a theme of the month 1:1 card swap on the Florida Stampers Yahoo group – I hope my partner likes it!

Using Copics and PK Glitz embossing powder with Faerie Song Art Stamps made this card come together nicely.
