A super woman that I’ve known for a number of years now, had a stroke Friday evening. Read about it here:

and please send a card to help speed up her recovery.
Love you guys and I know you’ll help a friend of a friend in need.
I must admit, with a little Blushing, that one of my favorite paper companies is BasicGrey. Oh Baby, is it Eerie that every collection of theirs, I can Infuse easily in my scrapping. There are lines that I like more than others (Lollipop Shopped for one), but when feeling a bit Offbeat in my scrapping, I can look within the BasicGrey papers in my stash and come up with Two Scoops of something! I’ve tried to resist purchasing the lines when they’re first released, Perhaps to be sure I’ll like them in real life.
Who am I kidding?
Why Dasher myself when I know I’ll be Bittersweet when I don’t get it before it sells out at the lss or worse yet, when the lss doesn’t order it? It’s not like I’m paying for a trip to Marrakech or something! Color Me Silly indeed! Just DO IT, put it in the budget and don’t stress any longer. Submit to the pure Sublime Ambrosia and Mellow!
I thought that I would put together a list of the BasicGrey collections just so you could check off the ones you have. Ok, I really did this so that I could see which ones I’m missing! Lucky you! You benefit though from my Sultry obsession. Grab a glass of Lemonade and take a look at it, my little Sweet Pea! I bet you’ll find a Vagabond collection or two that you forgot about or never heard of. Hard to believe, but possibly true.

What a week and weekend!
Summer CHA in Orlando was quite fun as usual. Catching up with old friends at Inky Antics/Stamper Anonymous, Spellbinders, Core’dinations and Prism then meeting new ones at Unity Stamp Co and Petaloo made it all the more fun! I meet up with some local friends from South FL (LaVerne, Tammy & Michelle) and online friends from afar (Chris & Peggy). All was good and definitely a worthwhile visit. How can you go wrong with it only being 3 hrs away by car??
All the manufacturers were excited and a little nervous about the economy. This show is typically smaller than the winter Anaheim show, but it was much smaller even still. I believe the economy and new location (years past the summer show has been in Chicago) had a lot to do with it. It was a bit sad to see so few manufacturers there, but those who came, were enthusiastic and great to talk to.
One new product from Craftwell caught my eye. It’s the first electronic die cutter that I would buy. At a great entry level price of $199, it can cut from SD cards loaded with images or hook to your computer when paired with an extra software package. This system can cut grunge paper and thin chipboard! No sticky mat needed either. Hmmmmm, must keep my eye on that one!
The Consumer Show was full of vendors and well attended by over 5000 people over the 2 days. People were excited and got to see many things not normally available to see at the consumer level. Industry “stars” were walking the floor, Donna Downey, Unity Stamp Company, Ana Cabrera, Paper Trey and others, were available to chat and take pictures with – lots of fun for everyone around. I think the consumers were happy! I worked at the Scrapbook Central/Cherry Blossom booth demoing We R Memory Keepers cool tools! It was fun and I got to hang with my best scrapping buddies!
Great time – you should attend if you can!
I’m closing up a catalog Stampin’ Up! party – need anything from the yummy new catalog? Check out the goods at www.stampinup.com and email me if you need thing (notice I said NEED) – paypal works. Thanks!
