Looking for a simple yet fun idea for the holidays? Try handmade ornaments!
I’ve used a clear plastic ornament shape here as the base for my ornament.
Print out a digital stamp or stamp a rubber stamp with StazOn ink on a piece of acetate.
Color with Copic markers or Sharpies.
Cut out a circular piece of WonderFilm from P K Glitz to place on the front of the ornament.
Cut out your image to be smaller than the ornament and place on top of the WonderFilm to stick it down.
Sprinkle glitter around the outside and you’ve got a great border!
Tie a ribbon at the top and it’s done!
Supplies:
The Stamping Boutique digital stamp
Copic markers
Acetate sheet and ornament shape
P K Glitz WonderFilm and glitter
Twill
There’s just something about cat stamps that draws me in. This one is especially cute – it’s a digital stamp from Whimsie Doodles. Perfect for Halloween, our furry friend has a great disguise as an owl!
I used my newly purchased spider web punch. That Martha Stewart just keeps cranking out the cool punches be it a single punch, border or now trim punches. They consistently work even as the designs range from detailed to simple. Good job Martha!
I hope you enjoy the project as much as I had fun making it!
Supplies:
Whimsie Doodles digital stamp
Copic markers
Target pail
Trim punch
Corrugator
Tissue paper

I hate to give a gift in a plain bag but sometimes I don’t have a choice. If you have some spare time or have some colored images waiting for a card front or other project, put them on a plain bag! Here’s a cute bunny just in time for an upcoming birthday gift.
Supplies:
The Stamping Boutique Birthday Bunny
Copic markers
Spellbinders dies
Fiber and bag
Here’s a fun project that I did for P K Glitz. It actually uses the cling mount rubber stamps from Ippity along with a flower pot, silk flowers, glitter and embossing powder.
I really enjoyed using the Ippity stamps. Since they’re unmounted they are easy to stamp on non-flat surfaces. For instance, if I wanted to stamp on the side of the flower pot instead of putting glitter on it, I could stamp directly on the terra cotta for a great image on the side. Most likely you would need a pigment or solvent ink like StazOn or just heat emboss your stamped image for staying power. Fun stuff! (click for a larger pic)

Supplies:
Ippity stamps
Unity stamps
P K Glitz glitter, embossing powder, Ritzy Ditzy Glitz spray, Sticky Tape and WonderFilm
Silk flowers, bamboo skewers, flower pot, paint, styrofoam ball, felt, and hot glue gun
Yes, I am still loving these little guys that happen to be very prevalent around the Valentine Day time.
I used some of the cool Ippity stamps to decorate the outside. Not that the glitter wouldn’t be enough (pretty sparkly now isn’t it???
) but stamped and colored images never hurt a project. The tree and birdies and heart are from the Straight from the Heart set while the saying is from the Because of You set. Even though they’re from different sets, they still go well together! Great quality of the Ippity stamps!
Supplies:
Ippity stamps, IPK-105 Straight from the Heart, IPK-100 Because of You
P K Glitz Sticky Tape, Wonder Film, Embossing Powder, Heat Activated Glue Powder, Glitter Glitz
Tsukineko and Ranger inks
Target Mini Mailbox
Offray ribbon
Here’s to you my blog followers! Thank you for your visits throughout 2009. I hope you’ll come back more in 2010, it’s going to be a great year!
I’ve been playing with the Ippity stamps more – lots of fun there!!! Take a peek and see what you think! I just love the red rubber cling – it takes ink so well.
This last one uses a Unity stamp with the Ippity one.
Have a great day!
This week’s Unity Bachelor Challenge was to incorporate something from around the house. I used a terra cotta flower pot and bamboo skewers for my “love pot”. I used PK Glitz’ E P Lite embossing powder which is WAY cool!! I love how it sparkles, especially in the sun!
For the project, I painted the pot and saucer then stamped on the paint. The flowers, sun and butterflies are all embossed and trimmed out. The flowers have a large eyelet and glazed brad through it to hold onto the skewer. The sun and butterflies are held onto the skewers with foam squares (high tech eh?). There’s a styrofoam ball inside the pot, covered with felt and crinkley paper strips. It was a fun project! Thanks for the challenge Unity!
Supplies:
Unity stamps
Ranger pigment ink
PK Glitz E P Lite embossing powder
Claudine Hellmuth gel medium & paint
BasicGrey glazed brads
Terra cotta pot, skewers, & foam squares
Here’s another project that I finished from Donna‘s weekend! This one was super fun also-using corrugated cardboard as some of the pages, acrylic for others! Then lots of awesome FABRIC! SO completely in love with this project. Thanks Donna for a great time.
