Scraps of thoughts, photos and art

Can you say busy? Scrapbook Central was certainly busy, busy, busy on Saturday, May 4th for National Scrapbook Day. There was a 3-day crop there with a guest scrapbook author, Kitty Foster, in town from Georgia. I met Kitty at the ScrapJam scrapbook getaways, gosh, at least 5 years ago now maybe more. She became a writer and worked at Inque Boutique for a time too! Such a small world for sure…

Here’s Kitty with La Verne eating Belgian Waffles for breakfast on Saturday – you had just one each right girls??

I did actually get some Cards for Soldiers done! It was a good sense of accomplishment for the 82 cards ALL using scraps! Ok, the card base was cardstock that wasn’t really a “scrap”, but the embellishments and patterned paper or stickers were all hanging around for quite some time. I also made 2 Mother’s Day cards.

We sold 2 large Alterable Magnetic Easels too! Wait until I make some samples to put in the store – should be good for sales!

  • Oh no, you got it on film!….Okay, okay, I had 2 waffles AND whipped cream/syrup!!! I love all the cards Andrea! I can’t believe how fast you made them all! It was nice that you were able to sit down for a little while and get something done. Can’t wait to see your samples for the easels!

  • Hey Andrea, can I borrow this picture to post on my blog? I’ll be sure to give you credit for it 🙂

  • Wow, 82 cards! Impressive! 🙂

  • Lots of cards, for sure! I hope it put a big dent in your stash! Those waffles look yummy and they’re making me hungry for breakfast!
