A Rose is a Rose

I’ve been dying to try this stamp set out from Stampin’ Up! since I got it (yes, uninked rubber is a felony), so the perfect opportunity came up when Florida Stampers offered a Rose card swap.

PERFECT!

I also combined my super cool glitter from P K Glitz in the mix. Since the image is an outline one, there are SO many possibilities. The image is heat embossed then has glitter along the outer parts of the petals. A glue pen comes in handy for that! It just didn’t pop enough after that, so the entire background surrounding the rose was colored in with a large tip glue pen and sprinkled with Crystal glitter. The shimmer is SO pretty and really got the effect I was looking for.

I was chatting on Split Coast the other day on the Unity Stamp forum and we were talking about our favorite coloring options. I LOVE Copics, but I realized that coloring with glitter is my next favorite option!
